Humanitarian and Disaster Response
Simulation Training

Helps prepare and equip humanitarians for the field and ensure they deliver high quality aid in a safe and secure manner.

Hosted by:
Project HOPE, Humanitarian U, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Johns Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health

Thursday April 5, 2018 8:00 a.m. – Sunday, April 8, 3:00 p.m. EDT
at
Project HOPE (Carter Hall) Millwood, VA and Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD

The training is designed to simulate a complex humanitarian emergency that requires a comprehensive understanding of war, natural disasters and forced displacement, and the impact of cultural contexts on the affected populations. Participants are immersed in the simulation for the whole weekend, working in multidisciplinary, NGO-based teams, each tasked with a series of activities serving the fictional populations.
