Project HOPE Steps Up Response to Aid Victims of Irma and Harvey

Project HOPE is widening its response to the health care consequences of Hurricane Harvey, even as we respond to another monster storm, Hurricane Irma, which is battering the entire state of Florida.

Project HOPE is mobilizing medical volunteers to deploy to shelters in Florida that are hosting hundreds of special needs patients, including the elderly.  Our disaster response team is coordinating with health authorities to dispatch our medical team as soon as conditions are safe for travel.

At the same time, our medical team on the ground in Houston is working closely with partners, to provide medical and psychosocial services for vulnerable groups impacted by Harvey. We are also supplying hundreds of hygiene kits to help protect against the poor sanitation conditions that are a result of widespread flooding. HOPE has additional volunteers on standby, ready to deploy to Florida and Texas as our team on the ground assesses the evolving health needs.

Please support our response to health needs caused by Irma, Harvey and other looming natural disasters.
